The Equine Massage/ Muscle Therapy Programs are operated by Mike Scott and

graduates of the certification program. His head instructor is Joyce Falese. Joyce apprenticed with Mike nearly 14 years ago and has a thriving private practice in New England and Florida.

While Mike stays busy massaging, teaching, saddle fitting and traveling to work with horses, His wife Terry stays busy with student correspondence. She is also learning to do repair work in the shop. They are constantly complimented on their fast and efficient responses to students inquiries.

Originally the training programs were held in Massachusetts and were affiliated with Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worc. MA.

The home base for the Equine Massage and Saddle Fit School is located in historic Camden SC.

In 1991, Mike started teaching intro courses and in 1994 his techniques evolved into a certification program in conjunction with Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. Since 2002, Mike went independent and his Equine Massage/Muscle Therapy Programs have also been offered to the general public to better educate more ambitious potential equine massage therapists.

The Equine Massage/Muscle Therapy Programs offer a Certification Program, Equine Massage 101, Advanced Muscle Therapy and an introductory saddle fit for the therapist classes. Also offered is a Saddlefit Certification Program. www.saddlefitschool.com

Also offered is a mentor program that is geared to the individual. Mike takes 1-2 students at a time for the determined amount of time. While the student gets ample class material, the most influence is in the field. Students learn first hand the techniques, ethics, boundaries, gait evaluation and anatomy that make one a successful therapist. Morning is observation while afternoon class time is focused on individual needs.

Mike is available to teach massage clinics throughout the year. His fees can be found at each class offering in the courses section.
